Organic molecules have a close relationship with our modern life since those are used in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, liquid crystals, emission materials and so on. We are developing synthetic methods for such compounds. C-H bonds are most ubiquitous moiety of organic molecules, thus it is important to develop direct transformations of C-H bonds to gain complex molecules. We are focusing on the transformation, in particular by using transition metal catalyzed direct C-H bond functionalizations. Also, we are exploring new functional materials with the products of above processes.
