I am now studying on fabrication of oxide ceramics and their properties. Since the properties of oxide ceramics depend on their microstructure as well as the compositions and crystalline structure, my research interest is tailoring of the microstructure and resultant properties. Chemical defect of crystal is also important subject concerning the electrical properties of the ceramics and I am interested in it. My present research subjects are below.
1. Preparation of aluminum titanate ceramics with low thermal expansion and improvement of their mechanical properties.
2. Evaluation of electrical properties of oxide semiconductors and solid electrolytes.
3. Preparation of TiO2 and ZnO thin film via sol-gel method.
4. Preparation and evaluation of ferroelectric and piezoelectric oxide thin films.
5. Preparation of nanoparticles by a solution plasma.

X-ray powder diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopes, thermalanalysis, and electrical measurements including Hall effect are my investigation tools.
