My research interests include low-power LSI design with particular emphasis in digital/analog logic, CAD techniques for the implementation of high-performance DSP functions, and a new approach in nonlinear circuits design using memristor. Recently, my main research is a new design of adiabatic logic and its application. The main idea in an adiabatic logic is that the transitions are considered to be sufficiently slow so that heat is not emitted significantly. This is made possible by replaceing the DC power supply by a resonant LC driver or oscillator. By using adiabatic technique, I have designed many logics (e.g., 2PC2AL, 2PADCL, CSSAL), memories (9T-SRAM, 1T-SRAM using memristor), and I/O interfaces for low-power LSI applications. In the near future, I am fairly convinced that my proposed adiabatic LSI applicatrions are realized technological innovation in various leading-edge technology fields.
