Meeting with the faculty members of UKM (Aug. 2, 2016)

On August 2, 2016, Professor Dr. Ishak Ahmad, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and Associate Professor Dr. Ir. Nasharuddin Zainal, Head of the Graduate Strategic Planning and Development of UKM, visited the Faculty of Engineering (ENG), Gifu University (GU). UKM and GU had a meeting on the Joint Degree (JD) Program. UKM is one of the faculty-level partner universities for ENG at GU.
Dr. Fumiaki Suzuki, Director of GU’s Head Office for Glocalization (GHOGL), Prof. Shuichi Nonomura, ENG Dean, Assoc. Prof. Lee Wah Lim, and Ms. Emiko Kuze joined the meeting to actively discuss on the JD programs planned to start in 2019.
Prior to the meeting, both Dr. Ishak Ahmad and Dr. Ir. Nasharuddin Zainal participated in the Joint Symposium held at GU on August 1. Organized by GHOGL and co-sponsored by the Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering, the symposium was aimed to further enhance the partnerships between GU and its JD partners, UKM and Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G). The attendees from UKM, IIT-G, and GU actively participated in research exchanges at the symposium.
