State University of Padang and Gifu University Concluded an Agreement for Academic Exchange and Cooperation (Sept. 18, 2015)

  On September 18th, 2015, the Faculty of Engineering, Gifu University concluded an agreement for academic exchange and cooperation with State University of Padang, Indonesia.

  The signing ceremony, held at State University of Padang, was attended by Vice President Dr. Ardipal, Dr. Lufri and Dr. Budhi Oktavia (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), and approximately two hundred faculty members and students. Dr. Shima and Dr. Lim, liaisons who are in charge of international exchange, from the Faculty of Engineering, Gifu University were also present at the signing ceremony.
  After the ceremony, a public lecture was conducted by Dr. Shima and Dr. Lim, followed by a lively question-and-answer session. Subsequently, Dr. Shima and Dr. Lim received explanations on several faculties and inspected their respective laboratories and facilities.
  State University of Padang, one of the national universities in Indonesia, was established in 1954 and has the largest number of students in Sumatran (estimated 31,000 undergraduates and 1,500 postgraduates).
  This agreement for academic exchange and cooperation with State University of Padang, mainly with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is expected to enhance research and education between the two universities, promoting joint researches and cooperative studies on chemical materials and analysis as well as further mutual educational student exchanges.
