Research fields

Main fields of research are development of the evaluation method for ultimate strength and seismic resistance of structures, especially biridge structures or steel structures. The followings are main topics:

　Development of FEM code for evaluation of ultimate strength of corroded steel structures

　Design-code for damaged steel members

　Rehabiritation of dameged steel members and evaluation of maintenance work

Evaluateion of weathering steel structures

System development of health evaluation of load surface with ICT

Maintenance and management of infractructure, especially brigde and relating structures

The recent research interests in maintenance and management of infractructurs are improvement of existing technology and construction of new scheme by using the technology from other resarch feiled, such as information engineering and mathmatics.
