Research fields

Our research targets are solving a mechanism of the relationship between human activities and a natural environment and proposing a specific environmental strategy to create a sustainable social system with the best balance of mass transportation in a watershed. Therefore, various impacts on the water/mass movement due to human activities, global warming and climate changes are investigated through field observation, GIS analysis, numerical modeling and simulation. Furthermore, methods to effectively control the impacts and to revitalize local society are proposed with consideration of the economic situation, the natural features, and the local history.
