We have developed high functional polymers of a specific nano-porous phase. The porous phase was called a craze that was generated by simple mechanical technique. Crazing of polymer materials is a sign of early fracture that was observed a whitening of plastics materials by the bending or poor solvent. These crazing processes were related to the molecular structure, which were a flexibility of a coiled molecular chain and an entanglement molecular weight. We have reported self-oscillation of craze bands on polymer films by the periodic stress concentration of the combination of bending and tensile stress. The followings are our recent topics:

・Meso-porous layers formation in polymer films and fibers by periodic crazing phenomena
・Crazing and molecular orientation of polypropylene film with acicular nucleating agent for β-form crystal
・Improvement of carbon fiber and polypropylene surfaces by microbubble modification
・Anisotropic electric conductivity and light transmittance of polypyrrole/poly(vinyliden fluoride) composites film by polymerization in craze
・Composition of lipase to porous PP fibers
・Surface properties of crazed polymer films with hydrophilic and hydrophobic stripes
・Preparation of nano-porous polypropylene film by periodic crazing and evaluation as battery separators
