Research fields

Research overview: Elucidation of the mechanism of electrical phenomena the hydrophillic polymers are involved in.

Research topics

  • Experimental elucidation of bending mechanism of Ionic Polymer Metal Composite (IPMC); Build a mathematical model for reprodcing the experimentally observed bending behavior of IPMC.

Publications

1. Charge and IPMC bending curvature

2. Circuit model of IPMC

  • To disprove the Goldman-Hodgkin-Katz equation which is one of fundamental concepts of membrane theory in the field of biology; To propose a new concept replacing the Goldman-Hodgkin-Katz equation by using the Association-Induction Hypothesis (AIH).

Publications

1. Membrane potential without ion transport

2. Membrane potential generation by the ion adsorption

Although none of the above research topics attract researchers' attention, I hope some day I can introduce my accomplishments with total confidence.

Research Keywords

electroactive polymer, hydrophillic polymer, membrane theory, Association-Induction Hypothesis
