As ER stress has been demonstrated to be associated with the onset and progression of several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, To understand the molecular mechanisms of these diseases, I have been characterzing the following factors.
1. Transmembrane protein 132A (TMEM132A) which is highly expressed in neuronal tissues 2. Novel ER stress-inducible factors including CRELD2, MANF and Chac1
