Research fields

Following research topics are carrying out based on a reasonable investigation and evaluation of ground.

  • lope failure and rock fall is deeply related to topography. In order to prevent and reduce the geo-disaster, usage scheme of detailed topography(digital elevation model) is in investigation.
  • Satellite data for wide spread area and 3D detailed ground data is utilized for prevention and mitigation of geo-disaster appropriately
  • Through the improvement of investigation technique for ground, level of efficiency and safety is increasing.
  • Based on the results of investigation and evaluation of ground, infrastructures are maintained appropriately. Well maintained infrastructures prevent the degradation of performance.

A school of re-education for the working people in construction is holding at Center for infrastructure aseet management research and technology (CIAM). Student can get knowledge and skill for maintenance work and asset-management of infrastructure.
