Major interest is automatic control theory; however, the range of studies is not focused only on theories but also implementations as computer hardware/software systems or various electronic circuits. Recently, scales of systems tend to be larger, which introduces greater diversities and complexities into them. Thus, under such current realities, focusing on the fundamental characteristics of systems, environmental boundary conditions, and their mutual interactions is so significant. The aim of such works is to find out the wisdom of reasonable system constructions and implementations without any prejudice.
On the pedagogical aspects, students can select the theme which they will want to try themselves by mutual consultations. In regardless of the automatic control laboratory, there was a typical example which studied on the "uncontrolled-type" magnetic bearing systems. Among these studies, one half of them are studied only one time by a student which are so called "one-shot studies", however, another half of them are continuously studied every year. Such studies are active motion control of 4-wheeled car, the hardware/software improvements of the original
computer architectures or organizations and so forth.
