Andalas University (Indonesia) Lecturer visits the Faculty of Engineering (Jul. 28, 2016)

On July 28, 2016, Dr. Muhammad Ilhamdi Rusydi, lecturer of Andalas University (Unand), Indonesia, paid a visit to Prof. Shuichi Nonomura, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (ENG), Gifu University (GU). Unand and GU signed a memorandum of understanding for their university-level partnership in 2001. Since then, we have actively exchanged students and researchers every year. Dr. Ilhamdi earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Minoru Sasaki in 2014.
His meeting with Prof. Nonomura was attended by Prof. Sasaki, Prof. Toyohide Takeuchi, GU’s liaison for Unand, Prof. Mutsuhiro Shima, Assoc. Prof. Lee Wah Lim, Assist. Prof. Mayumi Kawase, and Ms. Emiko Kuze. When Dr. Ilhamdi proposed Dean Nonomura to establish a graduate-level joint degree program at ENG between the two universities, the Dean replied, “Let us take time to continue discussion to develop a valuable program for both of us.”
